Heidi

While we were in California visiting my sister, Heidi got to open some birthday presents a little early from her Aunt KC and Grandma & Grandpa Hilgenkamp.

Needless to say, Heidi was a little shocked & excited to see that Grandma & Grandpa Hilgenkamp gave her a Nintendo DS for her birthday. Aunt KC got her a couple of games, High School Musical (always a hit with Heidi!!) and Dogs & Cats.

California: 1st March Family Vacation!

We took our first family vacation to California!!

Although it was a short vacation, it was packed full of fun and activities! My sister KC moved to San Jose California last July and we decided to take a trip to see. KC will be moving back home (YEAH!!) later this week and we couldn't be more excited!
On Saturday she took us to Santa Cruz to play on the beach! This was Heidi's first visit to the beach, and what a blast she had. We couldn't keep her out of the water! Let me just tell you one thing, the March's are not meant for sun. All three of us came back burnt and burnt! Attached to the beach in Santa Cruz is the Beach Boardwalk (an Amusement Park) where we spent the rest of the afternoon. Sunday we ventured to San Francisco and boy was it chilly! Here in the midwest we are used to July being hot and humid, in San Francisco it was cloudy and about 65 degrees! We stopped by some musical landmarks from the Summer of Love (the 60's) era for Jimmy and some of the landmarks from the opening credits of 'Full House' for my sister, Heidi and I. We drove over the Golden Gate Bridge and headed to Fishermans Warf & Pier 39. We stopped off at 'Bubba Gumps Shrimp' for lunch and took a view of Alcatraz too! We left Monday morning and headed back home ~ we had a great time!!

Please enjoy some pics from our trip:

Welcome!

Welcome to the March family blog! I received this great email from a good friend of mine, Brandy Hodge, with her blog and thought, "what a great idea to keep family and friends close to what is going on in our family." So, a big "THANK YOU!" goes out to Brandy!

Our family began on May 31, 2008: the day my husband and I said, "I Do." It still sounds weird to say 'husband.' Jimmy and I were married at Jim and Shelly Rhodes' house in a small ceremony. Shelly is the reason for Jimmy and I being together. In December 2006, she "introduced" the two of us. Six months later, Jimmy proposed at their home, and it only seemed fitting to be married there as well. Someone asked me after the wedding if I would have done anything different, if I would have changed anything about my wedding. I tell them no! I had my fairytale wedding, and married my Prince. Along with my Prince, came my 'little monkey', Heidi Kathleen March. Heidi is just weeks away from her eighth birthday. She is a beautiful little girl, who has her daddy wrapped around her finger. This is the beginning of the March family. Please enjoy!

With Love,
Jimmy, Angie & Heidi March
